Craniosacral Therapy for Children & Families

Craniosacral therapy uses light touch to support the body's natural capacity for balance and healing. In addition to Craniosacral work, I interweave practices in Anthroposophic healing, primitive reflex and sensory inhibition, and trauma integration.

Sessions are designed to nurture connection between body, movement, and experience supporting children and families as they grow, adapt, and thrive.

Meet the Therapist

Hi, I’m Emily.

My professional journey began with the birth of my first child in 2014. Like many parents, I found myself navigating challenges that left me questioning my own worth and capacity. In searching for answers, I earned a Master's degree in Family Education, and I have spent several years supporting families in parent education programs in both public schools and Waldorf education.

Through that work, I came to see that many of the struggles parents and children face are reflections of a culture that often disconnects us from our bodies, intuition, and relationships.

This realization led me to Waldorf education, Extra Lesson, and eventually Craniosacral Therapy. Together, these approaches deepened my understanding of child and parent development, movement, regulation, and the body's innate capacity for healing and growth.

Today, I weave these experiences together through Tending the Currents, supporting children and families through a whole-person approach that honors the development of the head, heart, and hands.

Here, your family is welcome, valued, and supported.

  • Emily is a beautiful soul with an ability to see, connect, nurture, and hold. She has met me in difficult parts of my parenting journey with tenderness, compassion, and her whole heart. She 'gets it.' We are so blessed to have connected with Emily and have her light touch in our lives

    - S.K.

  • Emily has a heart of gold and truly cares about children and their parents. I had the lovely opportunity to be in many of her classes with my son, I learned so much and really felt welcomed and listened to. She meets you wherever you are in your journey with compassion and zero judgment. She has a comprehensive understanding of how children develop and I always appreciated her wisdom.

  • Parenting in today’s world can feel overwhelmingly busy and noisy, and as a parent of young children, I often longed for grounding and connection. Emily’s classes offered exactly that. Her spaces brought steadiness and warmth, helping me feel supported in my parenting journey. Emily is an exceptionally gifted educator with a deep understanding of Waldorf pedagogy and early childhood development. Her intention and genuine care for families shine through in every class she leads. I am truly grateful for Emily’s mentorship and the nourishing spaces she creates for both parents and children.

  • Emily’s being and talent is a gift to our future generations and health. Her ability to translate the unseen obstacles into opportunities has encouraged our family to go through every day with grace and deeper understanding. Simply put, her intuitive nature is just as strong as the knowledge she holds. You will rest in clarity and joy after experiencing her sessions. I would highly recommend her service to any one who is seeking a path toward balance for themselves, their kin and their family as a whole.

    —S.W.

  • My initial cranial session was deeply supportive and grounding. From the start, Emily offered a steady, patient presence, a warm and attentive touch, and a spirit that helped me feel genuinely held and seen. During the first session, I came into recognition of early developmental and nervous system patterns my body has quietly carried over the years. The work allowed long-held tension to surface and soften in a way that felt safe. Emily's care extended beyond the table as she thoughtfully held space afterward, helping me integrate the sensations and stories that emerged. I left feeling more settled in my body and deeply grateful for the attunement and integrity Emily brings her practice. She has a profound capacity to sense, shift, and stabilize the internal landscape we so often dismiss or diminish. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking gentle, trauma-informed bodywork
